Plymouth ferry port is easily locatable at the mouth of the River Tamar in South West England.

Plymouth has excellent passenger facilites at its port and the shortest ferry route to Western France.

Brittany Ferries sail from Plymouth to Roscoff in Brittany, and overnight to Santander (Northern Spain).

Getting There

Plymouth ferry port is easily accessiblle.

The whole of the West Country is served by Plymouth, which still lacks a direct motorway connection, but nevertheless this must be preferable to a longer drive along the coast.

Take the M4 west to the junction with the M5 then head South to Exeter. From Exeter, head Southwest on the A38 to Plymouth.

The ferry port is well signposted.

Santander ferry port is located on the Northern coast of Spain, and is served by Brittany Ferries from Plymouth.

The excellent Spanish motorway network makes this an ideal destination for travellers to Spain, Portugal and Southern France.

Santander is more than just a port town. There are excellent beaches, beautiful museums and galleries, and a wonderful market. Santander is beautifully situated with open countryside and mountains. There is also the Museo Provincial de Prehistoria, which has artifacts from the area’s prehistorically inhabited caves.

Getting There

By Car: Santander provides good road connections to the whole of Spain and the South of France. Take the N634 westwards along the coast towards Coruna, and eastwards towards Bilbao. The N611 goes south to Valladolid and the N623 links the ferry port with Burgos. To get to the port from town follow the signs to Puerto, Zona Maritma or Ferry.
